Kevin - OCP'16 Round 4

For Round 4 (the fun island, location 6 - the village)!

So Kevin was really excited about the opportunity to visit an island (...er, a different island from the one he already lives on ) and if it were up to him he'd try to poke all over it but there's just no way his father Harris lets him travel that far alone. So they stayed at the village - it was the most affordable option (aside from putting up a tent, which was out of question as neither Kevin nor Harris can do that) and they could see how the locals really live. The downsides of that involved a crowded public beach with litter and fairly aggressive seagulls and some... interest from the locals when it came to Kevin.

Not that curiosity is always a bad thing - we're all different from each other in some way and it's okay to want to learn and understand more, as long as you're not being a jerk about it. There's a lot of reasonable middle ground between rude questions and pretending that someone doesn't exist.

I borrowed some characters of my fellow contestants for the background - which in no way implies that they are jerks! I also added some random characters because EVERY crowded beach has those...
From left to right: Sac the pet goat belonging to Lou0, a random bulky dude with what seems to be the entire Sistine Chapel tattooed on him, a random aggressive seagull, a random loud unattended toddler getting in everyone's way, a random woman not paying enough attention to her skin protection, Cathy belonging to TreeClimbingFish, Siri (Laila's daughter) belonging to Gwennafran, Zoltan O'Riley belonging to iisjah and another random aggro seagull.

Kevin has always been one of those kids who spend the entire time on the beach and in the sea in a t-shirt to avoid burns, Harris keeps his shirt on out of solidarity. They are classy like that!


I think the previous round made me think more on what I want to do with my entries for this particular group, and I didn't have much time to draw in July so it left me with a lot of time to ponder about what exactly I want to do with my art in general and after all that it seems like I'm enjoying drawing more than usual, like I got some more clarity on things than before. I won't bore you with details but yeah, there's that.
