Inktober 2015 part 2

Description

Second part of my Inktober challenge this year. Part 1 is here. As you can see if you count carefully, I am running late. Ashamed  But I'm not quitting, I'm catching up, and that's what counts.

Though I REALLY should do less backgrounds in the next batch because this is starting to wear me out and get in the way of other things. LIKE WORKING ON COMICS. :stare: But since we're already over the halfway point of the months, I guess it's TOO LATE TO QUIT NOW. Besides I do want to develop a routine of doodling regularly (we're not talking about Drawing Every Day, I draw for a living and have a webcomic of sorts so I draw every day I'm physically capable to sit up and hold a drawing tool, I actually feel off if I don't get to draw). But I'm buggered if I know how to fit enough doodles and enough comics around a job and occasionally doing stuff "normal" people do, like going outside. There's proof I went outside, by the way, file attached.

Okay, now some trivia about what is going on here.

  • Day 9 This is only funny for the part of my watchers who watch me BOTH because of Cop Story and because I used to draw a looot of Doctor Who fan art at some point, but basically a monster called the Fisher King got introduced in the show not so long ago. YOU BET THE FISHER SIBLINGS WOULD WANT A FAMILY PHOTO B-) (Cool)
  • Day 10 Another blast from the past, this time for people who watched me before I started drawing Doctor Who fan art and was trying to make a comic about a group of disadvantaged scientists developing a technology to travel between parallel worlds. After I stopped working on that comic (for multiple reasons) I thought there was no way I could "reuse" the characters in Cop Story but recently the cat came back. I'll figure out ways to reintroduce other characters later but does anyone remember Malcolm Keener? Except of course now this is England and 2012, so he answers to "Colm" and hasn't finished his degree in physics because of an onset of paranoid schizophrenia. So basically the same Keener you knew (and hopefully loved) but way less successful and probably slightly more realistic. Also October the 10th is the World Mental Health day (shouldn't it be "World Mental Illness day"?) and so really personal to me (I had no time to draw a separate picture but see my thoughts on awareness days here in case you missed that). Party  Kudos if you know where the quote came from.
  • Day 11 This will be explained in the comic eventually and probably can be guessed if you go through my doodles so I'll let you figure out this one on your own.
  • Day 12 It could be that the O'Kane incident haunts me nearly as much as it does Nutter, it could be I wanted to see if I got any better at painting blood spatter, it could be both. I don't think I'm morbid but some people could probably argue that.
  • Day 13 A new character! Her name is Tessa Gould (at least for now). This is what I've been talking about when I said I want the cast to be more varied when it comes to age and gender - you can't force it, you just think and wait and they wander in and refuse to leave. Honestly Tessa was NOT the character I planned to introduce the famed Spinster Circle with because even the Spinster Circle tolerates her only out of sense of camaraderie. Tessa is in her late 40s so she's from the hardcore generation of disabled people who were mostly institutionalised for the most of their lives. So she takes social issues VERY seriously, and generally has good ideas, generally leading to bad results. She also thinks "blogging" is a legit profession. She is nosy, bossy and even annoying but I welcome such characters with open arms! :D
  • Day 14 I'd say Sevan is one of the better-adjusted people in Cop Story, but even has his blue moments. Also I draw at least one bus shelter in the rain per autumn, it's like a law of nature. :|
  • Day 15 It's finally got HALLOWEENY. Sevan might be all progressive-parentey and ready to pick fights with anyone questioning the right of his learning disabled teenage daughter to be in a playground/cafe/cinema/public place of your choice but even he knows taking Ava trick-or-treating won't lead to much good. But they do have Halloween at home and give out candy, which is just as good when your supply of candy is not limited by pocket money. That and Ava can't have any solid food anyway. This picture is also an apology to a couple of people waiting for some meme answers, I promise I'll get there, I just need more time. :)
  • Day 16 Can you see Chance learning?? From the r-word to "uuuh?", all those sensitivity training police seminars must be doing something! :la: Work out what Tessa is saying - get a biscuit! Cookie

And like I said, I'm OVER THE HALFWAY POINT OF INKTOBER so I might as well go through with this (this is still about 70% fun and 30% stressful) so you can expect Part 3 soon! You can also expect a whingy journal about how I'm late with EVERYTHING.
